"Nobody sees anybody truly but all through the flaws of their own egos. That is the way we all see each other in life."[As quoted in Elia Kazan's autobiography, A Life (1988)]" Tennessee Williams
Part of the human condition is its flaws. The other part of the human condition is the ego, with many of us struggling to get our heads past politicians' non-caring attitudes that we’re all having to deal with. When anyone puts themselves first, it can only end in tears for the rest of us.
Initially, I never thought about the pandemic, or what it meant, although in sensory terms, it felt big. I felt out of my depth, it felt scary. But the ego has throughout the pandemic played a big part and we're seeing those clearly.
The UK government have made some rather big blunders and with measures lifted, I am vulnerable and home. Having spoken to many people about the vaccine, they have agreed the vaccines don't work in the way they should.
I cannot go to a restaurant, coffee shop, or the cinema. Many agree the next generation of vaccines need to be formulated so that once administered, we can't catch and spread the virus. It is important with the vaccine you stay protected, so that you can’t spread or catch the virus.
The only thing that has made sense throughout Covid is that we needed to stick to the precautionary measures, which have now all been removed. With continued cases rising, the Covid issues aren't going away.
