It was never about being right.
I needed to be understood.
To have someone pause, step into my experiences, and see through my perspective.
Not to argue, but to listen, and to understand.
I write to be seen, to be heard.
I write so my thoughts and feelings are validated.
So, someone somewhere, might read and care.
People who truly care don’t ask who’s right.
They walk with you – through your pain, through your reality.
Empathy matters.
It can change a moment.
It can change a life.
So, when someone opens their heart,
don’t rush to correct,
don’t reach for answers. They're not your answers.
Instead, pause.
Breathe with them.
Let their story be heard in its raw, imperfect truth and be okay with it.
Because healing doesn’t come from solutions,
but from presence, from validation.
Empathy doesn’t ask you to carry the weight.
It asks you to stand beside it.
To say, “I see you. I hear you. You matter.”
And that –
that changes everything
