“In order to write about life first you must live it.”– Ernest Hemingway

Wise words from a wise author. Someone that just got ‘life.’ I’ve had to get life, it’s not something that has come easy, it’s something that I've had to painfully work through.

Understanding Life

By the nature of breathing, we’re living. But until you have worked out and understand life in the whole, you can’t really know about life. When we understand, we can change certain aspects of our life, enough to live a different kind of life.

I've had to weather many storms. I write about my trauma. It is important to put the right slant on life, not the way you would like to see it, but the way in which it happened. What I write is often painful, but it has been necessary.

Living our lives

We live our lives without thinking. We get up, we get washed, we work and earn money, we socialise, but we don’t stop to think about what that all means in the whole. We don't always get the best out of life and that is two-fold.

Making the right rules

It starts with parenting and in a world that is governed by politicians making rules, they need to make the right rules. We need to make the right decisions also. And while the UK government continue to deny the virus still exists, I struggle through their decisions.

Using reflection as a tool

From an early life I was always looking at the whole, while I was looking inwards at my own life. I’ve never thought differently. A deep thinker from an early age I was always in reflection.

It’s been a difficult life, one bravely born, but it doesn’t feel that way. I have struggled. As I continue to write, I continue to try to reconcile. I’m not sure I ever will fully, but I shall continue to write, so that I can continue to live the best life that I can.

  1. Your writings about life has calmed anxiety that festers inside most of us, it's a muted anxiety.

What's unique about you is that you share your story and examine life's mysteries clearly than most.

You're not the kind of author that writes a lot and says nothing.

    1. Your response touches my heart Tim. But until the world wakes up to what is truly happening out there, I fear many of my writings will go unread.

I write because it makes me feel better and because living with autism, there are times when I struggle to cope. In the pandemic, even more so.

My writing explain about life, but we have also got to want to learn about life. I hope more people will pick up and read what I write. I hope more people will start to become more pro-active with their mental health, because that is where all of this starts. It's not spoken about.

Through my stats, where I talk about mental health, those blogs are the least popular. I find that rather irritating and sad because in a world where we should be wanting to be better, we're actually not fussed. Mental health seems to be at the bottom of the pecking order.
