Something inspirational:

“The only way to end grief was to go through it.”

HOLLY BLACK, The Darkest Part of the Forest

I don't always add a thought to quotes, particularly if they're self-explanatory, but if something were to catch my eye, or it sits with me, or I feel I should further elaborate, I often do.

I hope this helps others through their 'loss.'

"Grief is not a path we choose, but one we find ourselves on – for many often unprepared. In my own journey, I know grief isn't something for me to sidestep or hurry through. It's a process that demands my presence, my patience, and my willingness to feel my experiences.

I need to face my loss, acknowledge it, and allow myself to sit with it... so that I can heal. A counsellor once said I’ve never known my life without trauma, and she was right. Losing my twin has added another layer to that trauma.

Each step through her loss is teaching me resilience. It's showing me the strength in vulnerability and the importance of being kind to myself and going at my own pace. By embracing the process, I am discovering a deeper understanding of myself and a renewed appreciation for the moments of quiet that have followed her death."
