To most of us, most of the time, it is obvious what doing the right thing is. Because the doing right thing is always the right thing but not necessarily the easy or the popular thing.
As they say management is about doing things right, but leadership is doing the right thing with respect, compassion and morality.
Unfortunately, there isn't much of that around these days.

As they say it is better to stand alone and do what's right than to stand with others doing wrong. Everyone doing wrong, doesn't make it right.
You're also spot on. I would add that following anything consistently, even if it is consistent doesn't help, if it is consistently 'wrong' or 'morally' wrong. It just puts us in a precarious place.

Doing the right thing is never popular, but necessary if we are to move forward with ease together.
What we say and what we do sets the tone, not only for our future, but our children's children. It is important we get that right.
Brad's response is spot on. He's correct that doing the right thing is not always the popular thing, it almost never is.
Of course, if you follow what is established consistently, you'll stunt your intellectual and spiritual life without knowing it.
