Something inspirational:

"With the realization of ones own potential and self-confidence in ones ability, one can build a better world.  According to my own experience, self-confidence is very important.  That sort of confidence is not a blind one; it is an awareness of ones own potential.  On that basis, human beings can transform themselves by increasing the good qualities and reducing the negative qualities."

  1. Sometimes I believe I'll fail, when I have no foundation to base this belief on. Thinking positively makes for a better state of mind.

I have not been the most confident of people, but I should be more so in order to make my life more secure.

    1. Looking back on my life now, where I have failed I know now why I have failed, but back then I didn't know why. I've done a lot of work on myself and understand now why I never succeeded.

I agree with you that thinking positively and being positive is the key for more success in our lives. We have to believe it.

  2. The Dali Lama is very inspirational to me and I read quotes and ways of finding peace and knowledge of the world and myself.

Great quote. I am feeling more confident using a positive attitude about myself and others.

    1. I think he is inspirational too.

I love that his writings are helping you find peace in your life. You deserve to have it.

  3. That would be awesome to be able to have a lot of self confidence.

I've always had trouble with it and therefore haven't really believed in my own potential. I'm trying to work on it now so that I would be able to lead a much more fulfilling life.

Thanks for the inspirational words since it was exactly what I needed to read at this time.

  4. I have more confidence than I used to have.

I think others help us have confidence especially when we have their approval, but I also think we need to have approval in ourselves. Others will help build the confidence in people.

    Giving compliments to others helps.

    1. I am so pleased you have more confidence than you used to. That always helps.

From my own experience, I think when others pay compliments to us it can help us become more confident of course, but I feel that we have to have confidence first.

It's always lovely to be paid and to give compliments and you're right that can help build confidence in us and others, but if the confidence isn't there first, sometimes it's hard to accept any compliment, whether it's being paid to us or received by someone else.
